Head of Education, EIT RawMaterials
Wesley Crock is Head of Education at EIT RawMaterials since 2016, where he collaborates with and connects 300+ partners in academia, research and industry to achieve a circular, carbon-neutral society through people. Under Wesley’s leadership, EIT RawMaterials has educated more than 200.000 people since 2016 and will continue to equip the entire lifecycle of innovators – pupils, higher education students, professionals – with the knowledge, skills and attitudes, as well as opportunities, to transform expertise and ideas into tangible solutions. Wesley is also Head of the HEI Initiative, one of the cornerstones of the EIT Strategy 2021-2027. The HEI Initiative unites all 8 EIT KICs and will create systemic impact in higher education by strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of 500+ HEIs at institutional level and empower them to integrate and respond to regional needs. Prior to working at EIT RawMaterials, Wesley was a programme manager at the sustainable cycles programme of the United Nations University where he managed international and European research projects, and also created the E-waste Academy, a capacity building programme for practitioners and policymakers in Africa and Latin America involved in the end-of-life management of e-waste.
