Raffaele Trapasso is a Senior Economist and Head of Entrepreneurship Education and Skills Unit at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities. In his role, Raffaele coordinates the HEInnovate programme; EECOLE network; Geography of Higher Education; and entrepreneurial skills work.
Over the past fifteen years, Raffaele has co-authored several OECD reports focusing on skills policies, green economy, regional development, and open government, among others. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.
Before joining the OECD, Raffaele had served as a policy advisor to national and local governments and worked as a consultant for SMEs. Trapasso holds a Ph.D. in economic policy from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, and a degree in economics from the University Federico II of Naples.
A native of Catanzaro, Calabria, Raffaele is based in Paris. He is married and father of two boys.
