Dr Dimitris Papadaskalopoulos is Assistant Professor in Economic Operation and Analysis of Advanced Electricity Systems, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras, Greece. He has previously been Research Fellow in Decentralised Energy Systems, in Imperial College London, UK. His research focuses on modelling, analysis and design of national and local electricity markets, including assessment of the role of renewable and distributed generation, energy storage and flexible demand technologies, and employing optimisation, game-theoretic and machine learning principles. Dimitris has co-authored over 70 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, and he has been involved in over 30 national and international research and consultancy projects conducted in close collaboration with the energy industry, governments and regulators.

Georgios S. Dimitrakakis was born in Athens, Greece, on April 1974. He received the B.Sc. degree in physics in 1997 and his PhD in electrical engineering, in 2009, both from the University of Patras, Patra, Greece. He received the electrical engineering degree from the Technological – Educational Institute of Western Greece, Patra, Greece in 2022. He has participated in several research projects on the subjects of power electronics, geophysics and seismic wave recording instrumentation and has served as a teacher in academia since 1998, both in Greece and abroad. He has been a co-author of five (5) international, peer reviewed scientific journal papers and fifteen (15) international scientific conference papers. His research interests include modeling and analysis of power losses in power electronic converters, design of high-frequency magnetic components for power electronic applications, experimental evaluation of power losses at high frequencies, resonant converters and closed loop control for seismic sensors implemented with analogue electronics.

Graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Patras (1984), specializing in energy and energy saving in Industry and buildings. He was employed for more than 12 years in the textile industry and dyeing and finishing plants where he studied energy saving interventions, while he was an energy investment evaluator. Since then he has been with the company MALTEZOS ABEE, where as Technical Director he contributes to the design of solar collectors and water heaters of the industry-leading company. He participated in the study “INTEGRATED ENERGY UPGRADING WITH EMPHASIS ON THE SOLAR AIR-CONDITIONED BUILDING OF THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCIAL SHIPPING” which was awarded by CRES (KAPE) and the ECO-BUILDING CLUB with an international award.

Panagis Vovos was born in Athens in 1978. He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, in 2002. In 2005 he received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh, School of Science and Engineering. In 2009 he completed his postdoctoral studies at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, introducing a new concept in power systems, the “economical use of equipment”. From 2007 to 2011 he worked in the Departments of Electrical Engineering at the University of Patras and the Technical Education Institution of Patras under contract. In 2014, he was elected lecturer on the design and management of power grids in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras. In 2018 he was promoted to Assistant Professor in the field of sophisticated electricity networks. He is specialized in developing optimization tools for the design and operation of electricity systems. He is also investigating the extension of optimal power flow tools, methods of increasing generation absorption capacity of power systems and plug-n-play smart grid converters.

David Steen received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology in 2008 and 2014, respectively. Currently, he is a researcher in the Department of Electrical engineering, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. His research interests include modeling and control of integrated energy systems and distributed energy resources such as solarPV, windpower, electricvehicles, energystorages.

Η Ελένη έχει πτυχίο Μηχανικών Ηλεκτρονικών Υπολογιστών και Πληροφορικής από την Πολυτεχνική Σχολή Πατρών, και Master of Science in Computing από τον Πανεπιστήμιο του Μάντσεστερ, UMIST.
Εργάζεται εδώ και 36 χρόνια ως επιστημονική σύμβουλος και υπεύθυνη έργων σε σημαντικά ερευνητικά κέντρα της Ελλάδας, εταιρείες, κυβερνητικούς φορείς και την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Έχει διατελέσει Διευθύντρια Έργου και Υπεύθυνη Συμβούλου σε 6.800 έργα Πληροφορικής στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος “Κοινωνία της Πληροφορίας” ως ανώτερη διευθύντρια της Deloitte, Διευθύντρια Έργου και Τεχνική Συντονίστρια σε πάνω από 65 αναπτυξιακά έργα βιομηχανικών περιοχών της Τράπεζας Πειραιώς και της ΕΤΒΑ, καθώς και Επιστημονική και Τεχνική Σύμβουλος Έργου του Πολιτιστικού Ιδρύματος Ομίλου Πειραιώς (ΠΙΟΠ) για το έργο ψηφιοποίησης της Αμερικανικής Βοήθειας στην Ελλάδα.
Από το 2012 μέχρι σήμερα συνεργάζεται με το ΕΚΠΑ και το Eρευνητικό Kέντρο ‘Αθηνά’ ως Διευθύντρια Έργων σε έργα Horizon2020 και Horizon Europe για τον τομέα της θαλάσσιας αλιείας, και υδατοκαλλιέργειας, έργα υποδομής έρευνας για την ιατρική και Ελληνικές Υποδομές για Έρευνα και Πολιτισμό, με πιο πρόσφατο το έργο PSLifestyle για μείωση του προσωπικού ανθρακικού αποτυπώματος σε όλη την Ευρώπη. Από τον Απρίλιο του 2022 είναι Υπεύθυνη της Μονάδας Καινοτομίας για τις Γυναίκες στο ΕΚ ‘Αθηνά’ εκπροσωπώντας το #GIL4W.
Έχει ενεργή συμμετοχή στα κοινά από τα φοιτητικά της χρόνια και έχει συντονίσει έργα του Δήμου Καστοριάς, Ξάνθης και Δήμου Αθηναίων, ενώ δραστηριοποιήθηκε σε πρωτοβουλίες πολιτών του Δήμου Κηφισιάς για τη διάσωση παραδοσιακών περιοχών του Δήμου Κηφισιάς καθώς και του δάσους Συγγρού.
Είναι ενεργό μέλος του ΤΕΕ και μέλος της Αντιπροσωπείας του, εκπροσωπώντας την ειδικότητα των Ηλεκτρονικών Μηχανικών.
Είναι παντρεμένη με τον Κηφισιώτη Γιάννη Βασιλείου, ομότιμο καθηγητή των Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών του ΕΜΠ και τ. διευθυντή του Ερευνητικού Πανεπιστημιακού Ινστιτούτου του (ΕΠΙΣΕΥ) και έχει δύο παιδιά, την Αναστασία, πτυχιούχο Αρχαιολόγο του ΕΚΠΑ και το Θάνο, πτυχιούχο του τμήματος Οικονομικών Επιστημών του ΟΠΑ.
Με τον Βασίλη Ξυπολυτά και την ομάδα του ΝΑΙ θα δουλέψει σκληρά για την υλοποίηση του σχεδιασμού για ένα ψηφιακό δήμο που θα προωθεί την άμεση δημοκρατία, την έμπρακτη συμμετοχή της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, την αξιοποίηση πόρων σε εθνικό και ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο, τις ‘πράσινες’ δραστηριότητες μείωσης ανθρακικού αποτυπώματος, για ένα πιο προσιτό και ανθρώπινο δήμο.

Η Αναστασία Ουτζιόλα είναι φοιτήτρια του τμήματος Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικων και Τεχνολογίας Υπολογιστών του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών. Τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια έχει ασχοληθεί ενεργά με τον εθελοντισμό, ενώ τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια έχει εμβαθύνει στην μη-τυπική εκπαίδευση στον τομέα των soft skills. Έχει παραδώσει περισσότερες από 170 ώρες διαδραστικών σεμιναρίων και πιστεύει στην δυνατότητα όλων να εξερευνήσουν τον εαυτό τους και να φτάσουν την ιδανική -για εκείνους- εκδοχή του μέσω της μη-τυπικής εκπαίδευσης. Τα θέματα που την απασχολούν περισσότερο σχετίζονται με την επικοινωνία, την ηγετικότητα και την αυτογνωσία με σκοπό την προσωπική εξέλιξη.

H Εβίτα εργάζεται τα 2 τελευταία χρόνια ως Talent Acquisition Leader στην CollegeLink και είναι τελειόφοιτη φοιτήτρια του τμήματος Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικων και Τεχνολογίας Υπολογιστών του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών. Ασχολείται με τον εθελοντισμό μέσω φοιτητικών ομάδων από το 2017 και έχει βρεθεί σε διάφορους διοικητικούς ρόλους, με στόχο τη διαχείριση ομάδας και έργων, όντας και μέλος του Προεδρείου της EESTEC το 2020/21. Από το 2019, είναι Soft Skills Trainer, με εμπειρία σε πραγματοποίηση σεμιναρίων πάνω στην προσωπική ανάπτυξη τόσο σε φοιτητές όσο και σε επαγγελματίες. STAVROS KOULOURIDIS received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1999 and 2003, respectively. From 2004 to 2008, he was Senior Research Associate with the Electroscience Laboratory, The Ohio State University, USA. He joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Patras, Greece, in 2009 where he is currently Associate Professor and Director of the RF, Microwave and Mobile Communications Laboratory. From 2022 to 2023, he was Visiting Professor in Florida International University, USA where he currently holds a Courtesy Associate Professor position. From 2015 to 2016, he was Visiting Professor with Paris- Saclay–Sorbonne University. He has published over 110 refereed journal articles and conference proceeding papers. His research interests include antenna and microwave devices design, development and fabrication of novel materials, microwave applications in medicine, electromagnetic optimization techniques, and applied computational electromagnetics. From 2013 to 2019, he was the Chair of the IEEE AP/MTT/ED Joint Local Greek Chapter. He was the General Chair of the International Workshop in Antennas Technology (IWAT) 2017. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters and IEEE Journal of Electromagnetics, RF and Microwaves in Medicine and Biology.
